Quantum Racing Suspension is owned and operated by Patrick Murphy, formerly a number one mechanic with the Benetton Formula F1 team. The company first came to the forefront in motorsport by creating a damper for F3 with instant success in the early 90's & continues to hold the winning record for the category to this day. All units are manufactured in the UK.

The company's in-house manufacturing capabilities have allowed Quantum to develop many bespoke products that meet the requirements of the FIA Appendix K for the historic car market. The company has also remanufactured suspension for F1 cars from the late 80s and early 90s, including several that did not use Quantum shock absorbers in that period.

The company produces a variety of coil over shock dampers designs, including twin tube or monotube with adjustability of single or dual compression/rebound damping & inverted 40mm cartridges/assemblies.

The twin tube design shocks are an ideal replacement for early model vehicles fitted with Koni or Bilstein dampers.

Quantum Shocks are used in the following categories in Australia & New Zealand -

  • Formula Ford
  • MARC Cars Australia (standard equipment for IRC models)
  • Sport Sedans
  • Custom Street Vehicles
  • Track day vehicles, popular with Lotus Elise/Exige owners
