These cones are used to keep the rear spring located centrally to the inboard spring location on BMW models E36/E46/Z3/Z4 when used with the Vorshlag ride height adjusters.

If the rear spring becomes unloaded when the rear shock reaches full extension/droop, a large metallic sound can be heard as the spring is centered when load is reapplied.

The cones are mounted to the suspension arm & the ride height adjuster to the chassis (above the spring).

Suit spring ID of 60mm but can also be used for springs of 2.25 inside diameter.
